I have two sons, William and John. They enjoy doing things together, like fishing and riding their motorcycles. My husband Darrell is a professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
When I was a child, my father was a ranger at the Rancho Cuyamaca State Park. I had the privilege of knowing Harvey Moore and his wife Louise. If you want to learn about the life of a real cowboy, take the time to read the Harvey W. Moore Story. Harvey Moore worked at Rancho Cuyamaca when it was a working ranch, and stayed on when it became a California State Park.
I love the Lord, my family, and my friends; the great outdoors, God’s beautiful canvas, and all animals especially birds (red tailed hawks are my favorite). The ocean, the mountains, and the forests bring a smile to my face and my heart... as do Harleys, Vincents, Indians and other classic motorcycles. I also enjoy a eclectic variety of music and books. My Dad raised me right, thus my love for Bluegrass music and Country Western — thanks Dad.
Camping and traveling are activities we enjoy as a family. Going to concerts is also a favorite pastime. My Mom and I saw Santana open for the Rolling Stones in San Diego in 1998. It was pouring buckets yet it was one the best shows! In 2005, my Mom, my sons, and I attended a Rolling Stones concert in San Francisco and Metallica opened. Will and John know their grandma is “rad” and I agree! Rock on, Jane!

Try doing what is right, not because you think someone is watching you or because you hope you might get something for doing so. Try to help somebody if you can. Treat other people the way you would like to be treated. A job well done is its own reward.

Say what? Stick to your Guns! Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
—Proverbs 17:28 The Freedom to wear whipped cream as clothing.
—J. Perry, “Rock the Vote” Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
—Matthew 7:1–2 They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
